Free event and fun for all ages! Join us on Thursday, November 15 from 6-8pm for a special Artist’s Reception at The Cultural Arts Center. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to explore our four galleries at this grand opening, meet and greet the artists, and discover new finds in our gift shop! Exhibits include:
Four Seasons of Quilts – on display November 15 – January 13, 2019
A collection of quilts for all seasons! Designer and maker, Peg Fegely, showcases a variety of full-size to lap size quilts including quilts designed by both Peg and Valerie McMickle.

Birds, Buoys, & the Bay – on display during the month of November
Inspired by and created by water, Doug Mock is mastering the art of transparent watercolor to capture the simplicity and beauty of nature through effective use of light, color, and composition. This exhibition reflects his love of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. Paintings are inspired by his photographic journey from boat, kayak, paddleboard, and pier.

This event runs from December 1, 2018 – January 2, 2019

Opening: Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 5-7pm following the Center’s Annual Tree Lighting. Santa and his elves will be on site for a visit with the children. Artisan created Christmas trees deck the Center’s halls as we celebrate our eight Illumination. Each tree designed with its own special theme is sure to thrill the youngest to oldest visitors.
