Hailing from Richmond, Va. The Dan Schutt Band (pronounced Shoot) is a funky blues-rock band that always gets the crowd dancing and the party started.  Dan Schutt performs original music as well as covers from classic rock and jam music (Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Talking Heads, Phish, etc.) as well as classic soul and Motown Sound (Al Green, Temptations, Stevie Wonder, etc.) and more contemporary tunes (Chris Stapleton, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more).  Taylor Mcnamara (T Mac on Bass and Vocals) is accomplished in jazz, blues, and classic styles and many have said has the voice of an angel, demonstrating incredible range, power, and control.  Josh Santamaria on the drums and percussion brings the rich tradition of New Orleans right to your back yard and brings energy and life to every show.  Dennis Coleman on Sax and vocals is a titan in his own right, lending smooth classic soul and R&B to the equation and singing all of you Motown favorites with a voice that is simply unforgettable.  And to round out the group, Evan Howard and Keyboard and Vocals is as accomplished a performer as they come, masterfully taking smooth melodic solos and smoothly transitioning them into progressive and wild forms the world has never heard before.  Until now.  If you have not seen The Dan Schutt Band, you are truly missing out on one of the finest acts Virginia has been home to in a very long time.  Coming to a venue near you!
