Oysters, Barbecue…Battersea

Come enjoy a gorgeous afternoon with friends at Battersea, where the oysters are coming off of the grill as fast as you can eat them, Ballad Brewing will be offering great beer, there will be a traditional VA Barbecue Buffet with all of your favorite sides including mouthwatering cornbread, there will be VA wine, specialty cocktails, live music, an amazing display of classic British cars, tours of the 251-year old neo-Palladian villa, and time to soak in the incredible 35+ acres of rolling lawn and big, beautiful shade trees. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs; there will be dining tables & chairs. Gates open at 12 Noon. It is all a part of The American Evolution’s wind down celebration of Virginia’s Customs, Culture & Cuisine, and in the spirit of giving please bring non-perishable canned goods for Petersburg’s Hope Center.
