So sorry, this contest ended on September 21, 2023.
Jonathan Larson wrote autobiographical “tick, tick … Boom!” before the opening of his landmark “Rent.” Playing at Swift Creek Mill Theatre.

Before he wrote the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical “Rent,” Jonathan Larson wrote this autobiographical show about his pre-“Rent” life as an aspiring composer who is questioning his life choices on the eve of his 30th birthday. He died of a brain aneurysm before his landmark musical’s opening night.

Playing at Swift Creek Mill Theatre from Sept. 9 to 30, “tick, tick … Boom!” shows how Larson arrived at his grand creation.
