Art Night Returns! Artist’s Reception at The Cultural Arts Center

Art Night at The Cultural Arts Center is the perfect way to celebrate the arts with friends while experiencing new exhibits from local and regional artists! Join us on May 16th from 6-8pm for a special artist’s opening reception featuring works from the Virginia Plein Air Painters, cartoonist/illustrator Jamie Cosley, and more! Plus, enjoy a wine and beer cash bar, with proceeds benefiting The Center’s outreach programs. Admission to this event is free and open to the public.

New exhibits revealed at the May 16th Grand Opening include:

“In Open Air” – The Virginia Plein Air Painters are dedicated to promoting painting en plein air (“in open air”). New and recent works from various members will be displayed at this grand opening.

“Pop Culture!” – Everything from television and movie stars to seemingly familiar cartoon characters. Toned paper sketches, paintings, and digital artwork from cartoonist/illustrator Jamie Cosley. Take a stroll down memory lane and then discover something completely new.

P. Buckley Moss – Beloved artist, P. Buckley Moss, shares a collection of new paintings as well as classic favorites.

“Dragonlings by Emizart” – Fantasy allows us to step away from reality to envision what might be or what could be. Through the versatility of polymer clay, Emily Zampetti delves into this world with dragons as a relatable icon through which she casts her imagination.
