Call for Entries – January 2021 All Media Show

Crossroads’ all-media shows are open to mid-Atlantic artists through a bimonthly Call for Entries, and cash prizes are awarded for the winners. Each show is juried by a prominent arts professional from the community (a gallery director, curator, museum official, arts professor, or accomplished artist). Cash awards are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. in 2-D, 3-D and Photography.

All work submitted must be for sale. Entry fee is $12 per submission for the general public and $9 per submission for Crossroads Gallery Members. Gallery Members receive a fourth entry for free. If an artist is not a gallery member and wishes to participate, he or she may join at the time of entry. Artwork Juried: Monday, December 21, 2021 by John Bryan and JC Gilmore- Bryan   JC Gilmore-Bryan is a screen print artist and longtime art instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts, the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, Virginia State University, and elsewhere. Her works have been exhibited in solo exhibitions locally at such venues as the Anderson Gallery and 1708 Gallery, and internationally including a solo exhibition at Bulgaria’s National Academy of Art during her Fulbright teaching/research residency. Her formal art education includes an undergraduate degree from MTSU and graduate degrees from Vanderbilt and Columbia. In 2017 she donated 50 framed artworks to Reynolds Community College and they are on permanent display and available for public viewing at any time at the College’s Parham Road campus: 1651 Parham Road, Richmond, VA. The 2017 book, JC, Janet Clare Gilmore-Bryan, Artist, provides a look at her professional and personal life and career – all in full color.   See more of JC’s work by clicking Here     John Bryan’s career includes 23 years in the administration of VCU’s School of the Arts and 6 years as founding president of CultureWorks. He holds degrees from Davidson, Vanderbilt, and the City College of New York.
