Commonwealth’s Veterans Day Ceremony

Please join your fellow Virginians at the Dogwood Dell Amphitheater on the 11th day of the 11th month at the 11th hour, as the Virginia War Memorial hosts the annual Veterans Day ceremony to honor all Americans who have served and are currently serving to protect America and all of her freedoms.
The event will commence with a tolling of the bells at the Carillon to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that ended WWI. Keynote Speaker will be Governor Ralph Northam.
This event located at Dogwood Dell Amphitheater at 600 S Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23220. The ceremony is FREE and open to the public.
Immediately following the Commonwealth’s Veterans Day ceremony at 11:00 am, we invite all guests to visit the Carillon, Virginia’s World War I Memorial, for the Armistice Day Festival from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.and enjoy family-friendly crafts, activities, games, music, and more! See exhibits from museums and historic sites from across the Commonwealth and learn more about what life was like in 1918 as WWI came to a close. WWI-themed student art will also be on display.
