“Finding a place to rest in the middle of things” is one of author and meditation teacher Frank Ostaseski’s Five Invitations. This half-day retreat will use this Invitation as a practice of slowing down and gently turning towards ourselves to touch the soft spot in our own hearts. When we do this, we can “come to our senses” and find a place of refuge in the midst of our busy lives. There we can rest no matter what is going on around us.

We will gather online via Zoom, settling in between 9:00am and 9:30am, for a session that runs until 1:30pm. We sit with one another (virtually), meditate, take time to walk or move slowly, and listen and learn from ourselves and each other. Philip Davidson and Alison Shapiro will hold the space for us and teach practices that help us access this place of refuge in our own hearts.

There will be a nourishment break approximately half way through the session.

This program is for you if you:
-are feeling isolated and overwhelmed
-want to deepen your meditation and mindfulness practice
-need a place to pause, rest and restore

If cost is a barrier, access funding is available for all of our programs. Email rachel@innerworkcenter.org for more information
