Need some dynamic theatre to elevate your weekend?
Join us at Firehouse for mimosas and bagels and participate in the creative process of making a new play.

The First Drafts and Bagels program is geared towards providing opportunities for playwrights to workshop 20 – 30 minute pieces followed by a talkback with audience members to collaborate on developing pieces further.

In “Stray Cat Strut,” two women find themselves locked in a cat rescue facility overnight and must survive the cattiest of challenges – each other. Exploring social and economic differences, this one-act play considers the possibility that these two women are more connected than expected. Inspired by Edward Albee’s “Zoo Story,” “Stray Cat Strut” delves into secrets, identity, class, territory, and the ways in which we neglect one another.
