Lunch Break Science: The Voice of Women Veterans

Date(s)

  • May 5, 2021 | 12:00 pm

Valor, bravery, strength: these words describe countless women veterans who served our country. But those qualities aren’t restricted to the battlefield. They exhibit those same characteristics when they lend their support to improving the well-being and functioning of all female veterans after their military service has ended. Women veterans often experience loneliness and isolation after separation from service.

Hear how the Women’s Veterans Network (WoVeN) is addressing the unique challenges and experiences of thousands of women veterans around the country through social support networks. During Military Appreciation Month, learn more about how work to develop stronger connections among women veterans leads to enhanced wellness, quality of life, family relationships, and career satisfaction.
