Mandala Sand Painting at VMFA

From May 2–5, Tibetan Buddhist monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery will construct a sand mandala and perform music and dance ceremonies to celebrate the opening of VMFA’s latest exhibition Awaken: A Tibetan Buddhist Journey Toward Enlightenment. The mandala will be swept away in a closing ceremony on May 3.
