Firehouse Theatre and the Quirk Hotel present a special brunch-time cabaret performance of excerpts from Dory Previn’s musical revue “Mary C. Brown and the Hollywood Sign.”
The Quirk cabaret performance features songs from Previn’s 1972 cult concept album that centers on a would-be starlet’s attempt to break into the movies and the misfits she befriends or who exploit her. “Mary C. Brown and the Hollywood Sign” is directed by George Boyd, with musical direction by Starlet Knight, arrangements by Matthew Pool, and features RVA favorites, Kelsey Cordrey, Jessi Johnson, and Matt Polson.
