Science After Dark: Animal Antics

Date(s)

  • June 22, 2018 | 5:00 pm

Get silly with animal-themed science fun. Ride on scooters and snap up balls with laundry baskets in a GIANT game of Hungry Hungry Hippos, make bubble snakes out of water bottles and visit live snakes in our Animal Lab, and watch educators make toothpaste fit for an elephant. All-live Cosmic Expeditions will be held in the Dome at 6:30 pm and 7:15 pm; space is limited to the first 250 guests at each show, no ticket required. Round out your night and purchase a ticket for a special showing of the 2016 version of “The Jungle Book” (rated G) at 8 pm. After the shows, step outside to stargaze through telescopes with the Richmond Astronomical Society (weather permitting).

Science After Dark admission is $10 for the general public and free for Museum members and college students with a valid ID. Admission includes exhibits and event programming. Guests can add the feature film in the Dome for $5; members may use a Dome pass if they wish.
