Science After Dark

Date(s)

  • August 17, 2018 | 5:00 pm

Each month the Museum stays open late on a Friday for an evening of science fun. The exhibits are open (of course!) but there’s also lots more to do. There are science demonstrations, crafts, activities, live Cosmic Expeditions planetarium shows in the Dome theater at 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., stargazing through telescopes with the Richmond Astronomical Society (weather permitting) and a special showing of a classic film at 8 p.m. To keep things interesting, the movie and the craft theme change each month!

Food and drinks, including beer, are available for purchase during Science After Dark in the Periodic Table Café.

Science After Dark admission is $10 for the general public and free for Museum members and college students with valid ID. Admission includes permanent exhibits and event programming. Guests can add the feature film in the Dome for $5; members may use a Dome pass if they wish.
