Battersea FoundationVA Opera will perform favorite arias and Broadway show tunes on the beautiful lawn at Historic Battersea in Petersburg to celebrate the 50th birthday this year of Virginia is for Lovers. Bring a chair, blanket, picnic; a Food Truck will be there, wine beer & soft drinks will be available. You can even pre-order a small plate at www.batterseafound.org. It is a wonderful opportunity to expose young people to opera, as it is a Family Friendly event in a relaxed setting and it is FREE. It is also Pet Friendly. Gates open at 5 to enjoy the property; the performance is at 7.
