Richmond is about to get a WHOLE lot greener, y’all. It’s Park(ing) Day. Friday, Sept. 20 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. See site for park locations!

Who’s a good festival? You’re a good festival, yes you are! Yes you are, yes you are, yes you are! Richmond Dog Festival, Saturday, Sept. 21, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Chimborazo Park.

Step back in time when history was the present and everything was … free. Time Travelers Weekend is clearing the cover charge off a whole bunch of Richmond historical spots – we’re talking Agecroft Hall, The Valentine, and the American Civil War Museum. Don’t forget your passport. Saturday, Sept. 21 through Sunday, Sept. 22.

Speaking of time travel … how would you feel about a Field Day of the Past? Friday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Sept. 22 in Rockville

What’s better than wine? Unlimited tastings of wine, of course. What’s better than unlimited tastings of wine? When it’s paired with fresh oysters, of course. What’s better than unlimited wine tastings paired with fresh oysters? When it’s all that and more at the Stratford Hall Wine & Oyster Festival. Of course. Saturday, Sept. 21 and Sunday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. both days at Stratford Hall.

Four years ago, Stone Brewing graced Richmond with its delicious presence. This weekend, it’s taking it up a notch with its annual Stone’s Throw Down, a craft-beer-and-music-festival all atop Brown’s Island. Boy, Stone, we sure are glad you came. Saturday, Sept. 21 from 3-10 p.m. at Brown’s Island.
