The Boathouse at City Point: Scrumptious Riverfront Development

August 8th, 2017

You may know the Boathouse for its sunsets at Sunday Park, views of the city skyline and James River from Rocketts Landing, or its “dry dock” location in Short Pump. You’ll know this one for the sweeping vista of the Appomattox and James rivers; perhaps for its proximity to the Beacon Theatre and the future Appomattox Riverwalk; or for the serene colors of the sea indoors and generous dining outdoors.

Like the other Boathouse locations, the Hopewell restaurant highlights seafood and locally sourced ingredients: oysters from a half-dozen different Virginia waters, crab cake sandwich, shrimp tacos, Maine lobsters, Norwegian salmon, steak, chicken, fresh salads (with option to add protein), and vegetarian and gluten-free choices.

The restaurant is supported by the City of Hopewell as contributing to its riverfront redevelopment plan, so you can consider eating here your tasty good deed for the day.
