Ukrop's Recalls Two Mislabeled Soups

By Boomer Staff | February 6th, 2017

Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods LLC has voluntarily recalled two of their soups because of mislabeled ingredients.

As a result, Martin’s has removed Ukrop’s brand chili flavored soup with beans and chicken and the brand’s chili flavored soup with beans and beef. Both products are being recalled because they may contain the allergens wheat, milk and soy, which were not stated on the items’ labels. The products are safe to eat for consumers without allergies to any of the unlisted ingredients.

There have been no known cases of illnesses associated with these products, according to multiple news reports.

The affected items are only ones with a net weight of 24 ounces and labeled with a sell-by date of 2/18/17. Products without the aforementioned sell-by date or net weight should be labeled correctly.

According to news reports, customers will receive a refund for returning any affected products to the store.

Contact Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods, LLC with any questions or concerns about the recall at 804-340-3000.
