Janis Ian: Celebrating Our Years Together

Friday, April 29 at 8 p.m. at the Tin Pan, Richmond

In her final tour, singer/songwriter Janis Ian, best known for such hits as “Society’s Child,” and “At 17,” appears live on Friday, April 29 at 8 p.m. at the Tin Pan.


Ashland Train Day

Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. throughout Downtown Ashland

It’s the biggest day of the year with events all over town. Come celebrate Ashland’s love affair with trains. Family fun for everyone.


Arts in the Park

Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1 in Byrd Park, Richmond

Richmond’s best art show is back, showcasing more than 350 exhibitors.


Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

Saturday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Beacon Theatre, Hopewell

Best known for the hit song “Mr. Bojangles,” the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band first appeared in Southern California in 1966 as a jug band. They’ve been making music ever since.



Wednesday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Dominion Energy Center

Mamma mia, this is one fantastic tribute to the music of ABBA.
